The excavation is being undertaken by volunteers, led by archaeologists from Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service.
The excavation is taking place thanks to the hard work of the Kidderminster Civic Society, who have successfully obtained funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The excavation is part of the Civic Society's Historic Kidderminster Project.
